Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Mazad Syria mobile application ("the app", "our service"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Mazad Syria. By creating an account you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. Accounts of users under 18 will be terminated.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for every activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at the address in Section 11 if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not create more than one account per person or impersonate another person.
3. Acceptable use
When posting listings, sending messages or otherwise using the app, YOU AGREE NOT TO:
- Post illegal goods or services (weapons, drugs, endangered species, counterfeit goods, stolen property).
- Post content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, obscene, sexually explicit, or that contains nudity or violence.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings, or engage in scams.
- Collect or harvest data about other users.
- Interfere with the security or normal operation of the app.
- Violate any applicable local law.
4. Objectionable content — zero tolerance
We operate a ZERO-TOLERANCE policy for objectionable user-generated content in accordance with Apple App Store Review Guideline 1.2. If you tap the "Report" button on any ad or user profile, we review the report within 24 hours and remove the content plus eject the offending user if the content violates these Terms.
You can also block a user from any ad-detail screen or profile screen; their listings will no longer appear in your feed and they cannot message you.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of every listing, image and message you post. You grant Mazad Syria a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute this content solely for the purpose of operating the service. You warrant that you own the content or have the right to post it.
6. Payments and boosts
Boost payments made in-app are non-refundable except where required by law. On iOS, boost purchases are processed through Apple In-App Purchase and are subject to Apple's Terms of Sale. On Android/web, alternative local payment methods (Syriatel Cash, MTN Cash, bank transfer) may be offered. Prices displayed inside the app are gross (VAT-inclusive where applicable).
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you materially breach these Terms or if we are legally required to. You may terminate your account at any time via Profile → Delete account.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
MAZAD SYRIA IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not verify the accuracy of listings; you interact with other users at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of your use of the app is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim (or US$100 if you paid nothing).
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the applicable law of your country of residence. Disputes shall be resolved by the courts of your country of residence.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will show a re-acceptance prompt for material changes.
